Do we really care?

We, I and my friend, just escaped a fatal accident last evening. Sorrily, I was driving. I still blame the truck-driver. But this gave me food for thought- ‘Do we really care?’. For our lives? Family? Friends? For anything or anyone? We, the youth, drive as if world’s gonna doom if we reach our destinations seconds later. We don’t care for the person waiting back home for us to arrive.

Let me get down to formalism this time. Your parent asks you for a small help and you answer with a ‘yes’. Later you easily forget. An artificial repentant countenance, few excuses, some sorries and a hollow smile are your weapons hence for the following melodramatic argumentation. You’re done! You talk all nonsense with your friends but try to be to-the-point guy with your family. You dictate your terms, forgetting the fact that they are the one who brought you up, taught you to walk, to talk, to run and to fly, only to get in return utter disrespect, inconsiderate attitude and sheer ingratitude.

In case of friendship, you’re no good. A futile altercation with a friend and you start acting like thugs in no time. Damn! One of the two needs to keep it cool. If the latter doesn’t, so must you. How easily you start caring more for a new girl/boy who smiles to you during tuitions than for your friends from school? Just because he/she has got a gf/bf, I should have one too! Simply shameful!

Acha how often do you use your brains? At what instances, you try to think different? Can’t you invent new or at least discover old? You can! We can’t all be Newtons or Einsteins but we can ask our minds multiple questions to delve deeper into ingenuity. You are unique in your own sort. So care to create. Try to explore. Pen down your incoherent feelings. Give vent to your thoughts. Say what you feel right, but do care for the person who listens.

I’m not asking you to be ultra-sensitive or over-concerning. Just care for your life and for the people around. Feel great for the good that happens to you and don’t let grief step up your head & heart. Break free and yes, take care.
