The rise of Aam-aadmi.

A great man dreamt India to be a land of fortune where a fusion of languages and religions dwell with paradisal serenity. But the vision long cherished hasn’t been materialized yet. In the name religion, human has scarred and scathed humaneness. And in the name of fortune, cancer of corruption creeps stealthily below the glowing skin of Swiss Banks. The ever-dwindling GDP figures and the evermore-compounding black money are a matter of great concern. We’re together facing a group of mighty foes who seek our ruins. There’s some good news, equally followed by bad ones.

Good: We’re a strong developing
democracy.
Bad: Kashmir is still an issue.

Good: We’ll soon have 4G. We’ll be hosting Junior FIFA World-cup.
Bad: We’ve 2G and CWG scam.

Good: We’ve strong police force. We’ve quality IITs & IIMS
Bad: Frequent abysmal rapes. We still have aarakshans and kotas.

But in the collective noun ‘we’, stands out a comprehensible force of AAP that challenges to change- the system as a whole and the politics in particular. When the custodian of constitutional powers themselves become corrupt, an Aam-aadmi rises to raise the demands of the repressed, quenching the thirst for retaliation and quelling the drought of good-rule. It takes a solid 'jigraa' to leave behind an opulent living and come forward as a 'messiah' of the mediocre.

UPA-2 is a big-time failure. Failing to prove itself in any front, the recently concluded assembly elections clearly signals the waning power of UPA, particularly Congress. The front face, Rahul baba, has been too vulnerable to trolls on social media. Ducked under burgeoning inflation, aam-aadmi feels being looted in the name of taxes. But the arrival of AAP has restored the faith of people in a political party. They know, if ‘they’ come to power, the whole term of ‘governance’ might get revolutionized. Even when BJP and Congress ransacked the credibility of Kejriwal & co. by scheming stings, they came out clean, aloof from any corruption.

There’s a lot of circumscibing conjecture that AAP will miserably fail to deliver what it has promised in its manifesto. But Kejriwal has been a man of exception; let’s give him the benefit of doubt and hope that AAP will not overturn the pursuit of meeting the sanguine demands of the janta. The mammoth change cannot be brought about overnight by a handful of individuals. Deeds and seeds take their own to fructify. Along with invariable fortitude and relentless efforts, it will take time.

Needless to say, we love prejudging people. We love finding them guilty of every despicable crime. We adore the idea of discovering that everyone around is wicked, corrupt, manipulative and hugely deserving of punishments. We love playing judge and jury. But it’s time to rise above and look beyond, to let the world know the power of aam-aadmi. AAP will make mistakes, everyone does. It’s the quality of not repeating the same, over again that turns ordinary into Aristocratic. None’s perfect, everyone’s fallible and so is Kejriwal. But the unwavering passion to be a catalyst to the change so as to rebuild the noble mansion of incredible India is what that makes him stand out.

Few even have taken temporary refugee from reality in his name and believe Delhi will become Utopia in his reign. But such gravity of expectation is hazardous. Why not see him as a rounded personality, rather than a flawless being, but still capable of admiration?

The verdict’s finally out. Arvind Kejriwal is to take up the position of CM of Delhi to correct the mistaken mandate of aam-aadmi. His didactic decision to relinquish the prosperous chief ministerial perquisites to save janta’s fund is indeed commendable.

P.S.- Future is a surreal silhouette carved out of silver linings of optimism. Tomorrow, there’ll be a new beginning to an old start as Kejriwal takes the oath for CM at Ramlila Maidan, the mandir AAP's origin.
